great-grandma gave her 30cents a day(as in the olden day's currency). 10cents to take bus to work, 10 cents to take bus back from work, and another 10cents extra. she brings a lunchbox of juz rice and a fried egg with dark soya sauce. juz to save money to haf a gd meal..she walk to and fro from work instead of taking the bus..and before she reach the workplace..she'll pass by the coffin shop..at tat time..she felt afraid..and when she reaches the coffin shop route..she'll juz runnn in...saving the money..she'll have a plate of cha kuay teow..and will enjoy it so much..this is my grandma's young life..she told us during dinnertime..and say tat becoz my great-grandfather was a gambler..hence they were very poor..he'll bring a basket of money out and comes home with a empty basket...she really have a hard life last time...it touches mi to the bottom of my heart...
